EHT Students Win Big at StockHack 2

Saturday Nov. 18 - Sunday Nov. 19th was StockHack II, Stockton University's Hackathon for college and high school students. There were 85 participants (25 from our high school) split into 28 teams for this event. The challenge presented to each team was to develop an innovative product - mobile app, website, wearable, etc. 

 Egg Harbor Township High School computer science students were extremely successful winning 4 of the possible 5 awards. The winning groups and their projects are listed below. I have also included news articles about the event for your reference.

 Innovation Grand Prize Winners:

Alex Cohen, Leo Shao, and Vicky Zheng - Developed an iMessenger App for Quizlet

 

Innovation Award Winners (Runners Up):

Sam Liang, Jarod Willie, and Raymond Xue - App Name: Breach, Currency App

Developed an application that uses equations and graphs to identify best time to exchange currencies

 

Christian Kline, Nicholas Michelette, and Josh Sennett - App Name: Gaming Hardware Benchmark

 

Honorable Mention

Guy Pastrana, Samantha Scalese, and Jaysson Solano - Augmented Reality Application
