During the 2000-2001 school year, Egg Harbor Township Middle School was selected as a pilot to develop a model Adopt-A-Stream program. With the enthusiasm and hard work of Dave Crawford, Jim Thoms, Karen Cunningham, Jack Perry, Vince Levin, Chris Oves, and many other teachers, the project was a success, not only at the Middle School, but also at the High School. As a result, the district has decided to integrate the Adopt-A-Stream Program throughout the district as part of its K-12 curriculum. However, our students will extend the Adopt-A-Stream Program to focus not only on science, but mathematics, technology, history/social studies, language arts, fine arts, and physical education. The integration of the content will be natural "real-life", not contrived. They will be learning about the environment and the history of their own Egg Harbor Township.
