Swift Students Enjoy a Visit From Ronald McDonald 2/9
The students of the H. Russell Swift Elementary School attended an assembly featuring the famous Ronald McDonald. During the show, the captive audience listened to Ronald McDonald explain about the importance of having good character. In addition, the faculty, staff, and students at Swift have been saving the aluminum tabs from soda cans as part of an on-going donation drive for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Humane Society Donation Drive 2/7
Davenport Primary and Elementary Schools are holding a drive for food and supply donations to the Humane Society for homeless animals during the month of February. Students working on the project researched pet care and helped make the donation boxes located in the front offices of each school. Led by ELL teachers Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Mullen, and Mrs. Adamchak, the students have learned about taking care of dogs and cats, and the importance of helping others in need. [ Read More ]

Fernwood Spelling Bee Champions 1/27
The Bee was held on January 26th with 90 student spellers. The Champion will compete in the South Jersey Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 10th at Absegami High School at 9:00 AM for a chance to compete at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.
